Abstract
Interprofessional education (IPE) plays a widely recognized role in preparing future professionals to adopt a more integrated, critical and coordinated approach to health care. The aim of this study was to classify, synthesize, analyze and describe the national and international literature on IPE in health degrees. We conducted an integrative review following the recommendations of the PRISMA 2020 checklist, for search, selection and identification, the Consumers and Communication Review Group, for narrative data synthesis and analysis, and the Quality Assessment Tool, for the assessment of article quality. Twenty-three articles were included. The most commonly investigated topics were student attitudes, using quantitative approaches and recognized instruments. The findings show that progress has been made towards incorporating IPE into formal curriculums, resulting in significant changes in student attitudes.
