Abstract

Integrative literature review on the application of interprofessional education in multiprofessional residency programs in the context of specialized care. Twelve articles available in the following databases were analyzed: PubMed portal, through the MedLine, Elsevier, CINAHL, Scopus, SciELO and LILAC databases. The results of the articles reflect on “the impact on the training of healthcare professionals”, on the “improvement of collaborative practice” and on the “quality of care provided to patients”, in an integrated manner. It was highlighted that Multiprofessional Residency Programs in Healthcare are spaces for qualification and training with a focus on collaborative practice to improve healthcare outcomes, reinforcing the importance of building knowledge in collaborative practice, enabling the solid construction of paths for interprofessional education.
