Abstract
Interprofessional Education (IPE) is strategic, and initiatives such as the project Experiences and Internships in the Real-World Setting of the Brazilian National Health System (VER-SUS) foster the development of collaborative skills. The objective of this study was to analyze the collaborative skills developed by VER-SUS graduates through IPE. We conducted a cartographic study with 46 VER-SUS graduates from different areas. The following collaborative skills stood out: Sensitization to dialogue, based on effective interprofessional communication; Patient-centered care; Teamwork; Clarity of roles, including understanding oneself, others and building professional confidence that breaks down hierarchies; Shared leadership; and Interprofessional conflict mediation. The skills developed by the VER-SUS help students become better prepared for the challenges of teamwork during everyday practice in health care services.
