Abstracts

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, published by the United Nations, provide the foundation for worldwide sustainable development. This study aimed to relate the national public health and nutrition programs and policies of the Brazilian National Health System (SUS) and Food and Nutritional Security, in force over the last decade, to the proposed targets of SDGs 2 (Zero Hunger and Sustainable Agriculture) and 3 (Health and Well-being). The method employed involved documentary research on the official platforms of relevant authorities. A relational framework of nutrition and feeding policies and the proposed SDG targets was developed, illustrating the country’s commitment to fulfilling the 2030 Agenda. However, setbacks in achieving these targets were observed, despite the presence of diverse national public policies, programs, and strategies in the food sector.
