Amado CF, Santos RC, Santos L, Pinto ICM. Interprofessional education in educational actions aimed at health professionals: a documentary study. Interface (Botucatu). 2026; 30: e250312 Doi: https://doi.org/10.1590/interface.250312
Abstracts
The article analyzes how the theoretical-conceptual and methodological references of interprofessional work and education are manifested in pedagogical projects and institutional documents of educational actions aimed at health professionals. This is a qualitative and exploratory study conducted through the document analysis of Continuing Health Education actions carried out in five Brazilian states. The analysis revealed that interprofessionality is addressed in a heterogeneous manner, with variations in the clarity of objectives, competencies, methodologies, and evaluation strategies, revealing weaknesses in terms of intentionality in the incorporation of interprofessionality. It is noteworthy that none of the actions adopt strategies for the inclusion and participation of users, families, and the community. The conclusion is that the references of interprofessionality have transformative potential when incorporated into educational actions, but require intentionality, theoretical-methodological coherence, and user inclusion to qualify care.
