Abstract
This article presents the results of a qualitative research that aimed to analyze the implementation of the National Policy for Comprehensive Men’s Health Care (PNAISH) in the Amazonian territory, taking the city of Belém (Pará) as a reference. Interviews were conducted with managers, workers, users and potential users of the Brazilian National Health System (SUS). Based on theoretical-methodological framework of the discursive practices, in social psychology, the analysis of the material identified the little institutionality in the actions carried out, the intense turnover in management positions, reduced teams, scarcity of financial resources and reports of discrimination against men from the LGBTQIA+ population and indigenous people. It is concluded that the ways to overcome the challenges in the implementation of PNAISH involve the need for an intersectional reading that considers the particularities of the Amazon territory, in addition to a greater relevance of the policy in the dynamics of services and management
