This study proposes a dialogue regarding the implementation of equity in undergraduate courses of a Brazilian public university, based on the documentary analysis of national curricular guidelines and a literature review using descriptors in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The study object will also be the presentation of the National Policies of Equity and Health Qualification that have contributed to the discussion of equity in health. The literature review evidenced a lack of publications on the subject, with a predominance of studies on the inclusion and/or insertion of certain population groups in higher education. As identified, equity is present in the national curricular guidelines of some courses, with experiences that favor qualification. A greater defense in favor of equity education is recommended in higher education institutions in the context of reviewing the national curricular guidelines based on the coordination of civil society and popular movements.

Key words : Health equity; National curricular guidelines; Curriculum; Equity promotion.
