ABSTRACT Elizabeth Maria Freire de Araújo Lima This paper presents reflections on an event that took place at the Oficina Theatre. These thoughts concern contemporary theatre, the relation between the actors and the public, the stage and the audience, and, finally, creation, understood as a vanishing line and its relations with edge experiences in which otherness and impossibility manifest themselves. Key words: Contemporary theatre, creation, otherness, edge experience. Access in: http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S1414-32832002000100017
