This is a qualitative research based on the Theory of Social Representations aiming at describing the transvestite’s image revealed by nurse(s). The Free Word Association Test (TFAW) was applied, consisting of the stimulus ‘Transvestite’, for 110 Postgraduate nursing students, from a public university located in Salvador city, Bahia state, Brazil. Twenty of them answered the semi-structured interview. The TFAW data processed by the free software Ensemble de Programmes Permettant L’analyse des Évocations (EVOC) subsidized the corpus organization of the interviews guided by the content analysis.

The More Doctors Program (PMM) was created in 2013 to address problems such as the insufficient number and unequal distribution of doctors, and their inadequate education profile to fulfill the population needs. Among other axes, it proposes changes in medical education, including the rearrangement and expansion of residency, suggesting one seat for every medical course graduate. This study reflects upon the elements that were essential to propose and implement changes in medical residency through PMM. The following advances were identified:

Drawing on the Actor–Network theory, this study investigated networks of actors and their influence on the informatization of Primary Healthcare. The cartography of controversies method was used, involving the observation and interviewing of actors from the municipal, regional, state, and federal spheres, together with the collection of published documents. The data was analyzed using the software Gephi and the selection of extracts from the interviews based on the actor–network approach.
